    Further to what Reg said in post 17 my former neighbour served in the army like his father before, was in the Falklands in 1982 and in his own words "I'm not a nasty bloke but we had to do some nasty stuff". No prizes for guessing what that entailed - he thought it hilarious when the flag issue arose in the local paper as he never fought for the flag or the queen but shoulder to shoulder with his mates.

    Incidentally he never goes to reunions or anything like that, just moved on in life.
