  The Channel dash is highly pertinent to Dover Jan, it went right past our doorstep and shore units (and others), engaged in the operation, were based here. I suspect that there may still be locals living in Dover who will remember it, in fact I think my dad told me something about it, I must ask him when I see him next. He was a boy in Dover during the war and was not evacuated.
