I will ignore post 22 as parish councils/Town councils are the lowest form of democracy at this time in local govt.
If we all agree 3 councils to be to much getting rid of KCC and amalgamating the District councils in east kent.
I think I have pointed out the flaws in last nights decision, forget about the 2 geezers concentrate on the decision itself.
At the end of the day no 1 Cllr should have the right to suspend another Cllr without producing evidence, and a right of appeal. it does show DTC standing orders do not fit into a modern govt and follow the ideals of the Localism Act 2011.
They will hope everyone will forget it, but of course it won't go away and will continue to be highlighted.
It's correct the ballot box should be the ones to select/reject our councillors.
Also if we ever come to a serious charge then all 18 cllrs should be provided with all the information and a vote taken as to whether or not to take such drastic action.
I have put in some time ago to change the standing orders
now you can see why..
