I have been watching the tv show Medium which is based , in many respects, very near to the truth about Allison DuBois true life events, a famous and respected psychic. Apparently she has helped the police with profiling and leading to the arrest of many a crimbo. I must admit I'm hooked. As a left footer I believe in an afterlife but although her perception of it may not be mine there is no denying her ability at repeating messages apparently sent or viewed by her that often lead to arrests being made sometimes in cases dating back to when she was still at University.
Right then it's time to slag off and ridicule Marek so as to give Vic a rest

If you are really interested in this sort of thing you should try to catch John Edward on CBS Reality. He is really amazing. I have some small gift in this way, which I never developed properly, so I do believe. I am utterly convinced that some of these mediums are genuine. However, I have seen some that I consider doubtful at best. There is an english bloke whose "act" I caught and I was disgusted by the content and delivery. (It was not Derek Acorah).

Yes, channel 708 on freeview
Marek, I was always a sceptic about mediums and all that stuff, but recently worked with a doctor who was doing a PhD in my lab. He came from the Isle of Wight and told me of a woman he knew who had psychic abilities. If you had lost something you could phone her and, provided she had met you in person previously, she would tell you where to find it and was always right. He was a very sensible person, not at all flaky as some of the believers are, and I had no reason to doubt what he was saying was true.
Now back to Vic

I can't manage a medium. I usually order a small with chips & mushy peas.

Jeane's signature used to be 'small medium at large' if I remember rightly.

How fascinating it all is.. never close your mind to something unexplained by scientific methods..
some of it does seem quite convincing, but we know other mediums can be completely false.

Marek, I was asked by the police to assist (by remote viewing) on an unsolved murder case involving a missing girl who was found five months later. The police in the UK rarely admit to using psychics. The murderer was never caught. I sensed a lot about the circumstances of the crime which really upset me; I had flashbacks of the girl's death. I can't reveal anymore than that. I always willingly give what help I can and work for free on missing children etc if asked. Sadly it isn't all nice readings, but if I was able to give some comfort to the family by telling them that their daughter passed over quickly and some personal details for them, then it will have been worthwhile.
Well remembered Peter! I still do some readings and 'ghost busting' but the photography/writing/Victorian lady appearances have taken over. I agree Diana that some mediums are truly abysmal and prey on the vulnerable. I have been psychic since birth and have had a couple of mediums frighten the life out of me. A decent one will never EVER tell someone they are dying. I simply 'don't go there'. If I think a person is ill I may gently inquire about their overall health and last GP check up.
Melissa if I had a pound for every time I was asked about the lottery numbers I would be writing this from the Caribbean!! Alas the gift if I can call it that, has to be used for the greatest good and not financial gain!
I have an open mind , though my wife calls it empty .
Yes thats true, im a big believer of life after death and the powers of people like this its a talent .
