Last night I attended an event the Mayors Civic awards ,no I did not receive one.I was there to support Mrs Margaret Weeks who over the past thirteen years has raised over a quarter of a million pounds for the Riverside Centre.It was a lovely event .Well done to all those who received an award.

The awards were a really good idea. The winners do loads of work lots of us probably don't even know about. They were all lovely and Freda Streeter, Channel swimming, is hilarious.

that is really amazing.
i have only heard of mike mcfarnell out of all those names.
they must be working for others and do not get any recognition.
perhaps sue could mention her agent to them.

Without these wonderful people many of Dover's communities (and their activities) would suffer and probably not run.

Yes there are a lot of people putting in voluntary work in so many areas and as Roger said I dont know what the town would do without this work and these people.
