Sue, with all due respect, nothing you list will generate one single job for our community. Someone has to attend I suppose, but those events are hardly marching our town forward are they?

Barry, dialogue = jaw jaw. I see NO action on jobs from DDC/DTC/COC, but I do hear about lots of talking. The evidence for my claim is all around us and can be seen without straining the eyeballs. All that has been delivered so far is DECAY and failure.

I have nothing but admiration for those who keep trying to make this place a better town to live in, but let's not kid ourselves. In 24 years of living here I have not seen one improvement worthy of the name, and the blame for that lies squarely with those who purport to represent us, seen through the bodies mentioned above. For some reason they think one off events are the answer when clearly they are just trimmings, which is what they will only ever be. Where is the substance?

As I've said before, Dover dithers while Canterbury, Ashford, Westgate get on an do. Again the evidence is there to see.

This may be construed as negativity, but unless we face the facts, stop playing political games, get more effective by doing less talking and more doing, Dover will be dead before we know it.
