    1920 Charles J. SELLENS (283rd Mayor of Dover):
    Mr. Sellens, who died in 1938, joined the Council as an Alderman in 1913, and remained one till 1935. He was Chairman of the Board of Guardians from 1913 to 1930, when such bodies were abolished. He was also Chairman of the Education Committee. 1918-1933. During his Mayoralty the Prince of Wales unveiled the Dover Patrol Memorial, at Leathercote Point, on July 27th 1921.
