Very little on the interenet as he only stood for one year:
"I'm researching the Sellens/Sellins families of Sussex and Kent. I have been somewhat successful in finding links between the different families. I have come across Charles J Sellens (mayor of Dover in 1920) but haven't been able to connect him to any of the Sellens families that I have information on. Do you have any more details on Charles Sellens or his family? The only other information that I know about Charles is that he was on the Board of Governors for the Dover County School. He is mentioned in the Pharaos Magazine (the school magazine) between 1913 and 1932"
Been nice knowing you :)

Some info:
1920 Charles J. SELLENS (283rd Mayor of Dover):
Mr. Sellens, who died in 1938, joined the Council as an Alderman in 1913, and remained one till 1935. He was Chairman of the Board of Guardians from 1913 to 1930, when such bodies were abolished. He was also Chairman of the Education Committee. 1918-1933. During his Mayoralty the Prince of Wales unveiled the Dover Patrol Memorial, at Leathercote Point, on July 27th 1921. (from Annals of Dover by John Bavington- Jones, 2nd Edition 1938, publ. by Dover Express)
There are probably some photographs of him.
