  looked through your post, a couple of points to raise here:-
  
  a) the reds did decimate the tourism budget and the blues hae continue to do so.
  
  b) the reds were considering closing the town hall, the blues put it into private hands so the public only get the chance to see inside when allowed to.
  
  c) you forgot to mention at the same time there was talk of closing the fountain, there was uproar rightly so.
  when i walked past it today it was still boarded up and looking forlorn next to the laughingly called plant troughs.
