I've recently returned from having been out of the country for 6 weeks.
I noticed when in town today that Mascoll Price are no longer in their shop near Il Rustico and that it is To Let.
Does anyone know whether they were sadly another victim of the recession or whether they have moved premises?

been empty since the new year to my knowledge, hope fully they have just relocated.

wasn't one when i went past, i seem to remember their previous unit getting fire damaged forcing them to move.

there is a sign still visable from york street.

can't see this being taken up very quickly, a very quiet part of town.
the bicycle shop and the polish shop never seem that busy.

It might do if that area was smartened up. The old Shakespeare Hotel, the old Labour Exchange building etc. really make that part of Town uninviting.

At the end of the lease Mark Maskall moved to the business park opposite Travis Perkins in Whitfield. He is still doing excellent, competitive work.

Just found out that the shop's telephone number is 01304 214214 and will be connected next week. The address is 5 Glenmore Centre, Whitfield.

Thanks for the update Linda, you would have thought that they would have advertised the fact that they have moved more clearly and at least left a notice on the door/window
