  I'm told that there is a "Medieval Event" on the grassed area at the end of Market Street (back of Roman Painted House) today.
  
  First I've heard of it, I've seen no advertising, any info anyone?

  Howard came across that the other day Terry but nobody knows anything about it. He put some pictures of medieval tents on the Neighbourhood Forum thread so Im taking a leap of faith here and assuming its the same thing.

  sounds like the mystery is solved, strange that there no signs up for it, nothing in the local media either.

  Nothing on their website except to say until 31st May they're only open Tuesday and Saturday!

  Was mentioned in the Mercury or Express - nothing to do with the Painted house, it is something to do with a church group

  no indication what was inside so ventured forth, they wanted a quid for admission after much haggling i coughed up.

  According to Mike McFarnell - "Event organised by Alex Summers. They hope to secure lottery funding to run a series of events in 2012. Allison Burton and Jon Iveson involved."
