This is a very complicated situation, just about everything suggested on here has been done already with varying degrees of success. The Town Team cleaned empty shops it had access to and decorated with posters but mail and litter soon gather. Who would invest in Dover town centre when the DTIZ is no further forward and the likes of M&S will soon be moving out? Nobody it seems, which is understandable.

In pinning its hopes on DTIZ DDC has willfully neglected the High Street, I was there on Saturday afternoon and it looked desolate. Take into account DHB's plans for the Western Docks, perhaps that too is having a detrimental effect. Whether we like it or not the High Street in Dover is only going one way which is a dreadful and unnecessary shame, its also not difficult to see why.
