As I understand it from the guys who actually built it the misters
a) use very little water as it is a fine mist
b) it is fed direct off the mains
c) the only treatment is a high end filter to remove calcium salts to prevent the nozzles furring up.
d) because the mist is potable water from the mains there is NO RISK of legionella
I find it almost impossible to believe that the filters will cost £150k p.a. but wouldn't put it past DDC to have failed to read the small print on the maintenance contract and entered into a very expensive agreement (less than £150k but still stupidly over priced).
