I too would be lovely and even gracious if my Mum had given me a yearly allowance of £228,000 to cover the onerous duty of cutting ribbons, eating banquets and feigning interest in local councilors by asking probing questions such as 'and what do you do Mrs Nicholas?'
The French had the right idea about royalty.

Actually Princess Annne asks very interesting questions ,we'll briefed and talks to most people present.After waiting for an age for Her majesty's visit to Capel it was a case of a brief curtesy then on she went ..Then after a two hour wait I was allowed to use the toilet.
