Since this morning our (and many other households) gas supply is off due to a gas leak and water seepage; lots of vans around the village and they are firstly trying to contact all households to make sure their mains switch is off, BEFORE they can start to do repairs. Now they have handed out leaflets to say as an emergency we can go to EASTRY VILLAGE HALL if we have no heating etc.
We are fairly OK with two plug in elec heaters, but have no on top hot water, we can however cook and heat meals !
Our phone is also not working - BT have been notified.
Things could be a lot worse, at least we are not flooded.
