  Thanks Vic. I wanted to ask them about the KLM flights and what the transfer time is in Schipol, for onward flights to various destinations.
  
  I was hoping that we could have gone, but Jean just isn't well enough for the journey; we're supposed to be going out to dinner tonight, but we may not now.

  yes I have all that,I was talking to a Mr Morgen who you know well and we both agree that the T/S could be moved to their place and as I said without taking it apart..Both my wife and myself hope your wife gets better A,S,.P agreat lady who shows me up in the way she keeps going and turning out looking great all the time,please send her our love.

  Surprised to see that Amsterdam is only about 10 miles away from Schipol Airport - we plan to make a trip out there next year (assuming it is still running!!)

  Sorry to hear that Jean's not well, Rog. Give her my best, hope she's out 'n' about again soon.
  
  The Harriet Quimby Centenary Project were at the Manston show yesterday, manned by our Chairman who was able to make it down for the event.
  
  Rog, I've used Amsterdam as a hub for onward travel many times, usually for trips to Japan (MUCH cheaper than direct flights from Heathrow or Gatwick) and the connection times are really what you make of them. If you book your onward flight and flight from the UK as a package, you will invariably be given a list of options for how long you want between arrival from the UK and onward departure. Usually an hour is fine, but if you get delayed in the UK the onward flight will not wait for you, as almost happened to us once when it was snowing at Heathrow; we got to Amsterdam with 20 minutes to spare, too little time for comfort, especially as Schipol is MASSIVE. We had to run for the connection, which we made by the skin of our teeth. Fortunately, the bags made it as well! NEVER again, now I leave two hours between arrival and departure.

  Thanks Vic, Howard and Andy for kind thoughts for Jean.
  
  She is in so much pain, it is truly awful. Her hands, legs and back and now it seems she has either one of two problems with her left hand - I think it is a trapped or damaged Ulnar nerve and Buckland think it may be Dupuytren's contracture.
  
  She put on a very brave face last night and we went out, but she was so pleased to get home; the relief was quite tangible.
