Whatever DDC Planning did in this respect, it was following core-strategy planning laid down by DDC Government.
People must be careful who they vote next time round: if in doubt, think of Western Dover, the heaps of garbage piling up in the streets, the houses with 10 families living in 8 rooms, the bed-share arrangements for people working on shifts at Tilmanstone Salads, and the masses of local unemployed!
Is this the Dover we want for our future generations?
As Roger says, Deal wouldn't be allowed to fall into this situation.
We need a new DDC Government, one which is there for the People, which you can approach, one which is prepared to revise defunct 15-25 year People's Republic-style plans which pre-date the 2008 financial collapse.
What we see in Western Dover is part of rotten DDC core strategies which were based on false assumptions, such as "Pfizer will expand" (they all but closed down), and "thousands of jobs are coming to Dover".
The thousands of jobs coming through Tilmanstone Salads usually last 4 weeks each!
If in doubt, visit Western Dover and the job centre to see what situation this Local Government has got us in to.
