A "major incident" has been declared on Jersey, with reports of multiple deaths at a property in St Helier.
Jersey Evening Post reported that at least four people, two of which are believed to be children, were killed in a domestic incident.
The island's police has confirmed that a "serious incident" has taken place.
The emergency department at Jersey General Hospital was closed, with visitors being turned away from the hospital's wards.
BBC Jersey's Tim Pryor says police are at Upper Clarendon Road, St Helier, where an area has been cordoned off.
