It appears the clerk felt she was more powerful than the elected cllrs themselves
but that said it happens in councils where officers do the same (wonder if peter g will agree)

Indeed Paul - a strange one with more twists than Ambridge. Certainly the shenigans put a lot of sensible people off serving their community via Parish Council membership. Personally prefer to be getting on and doing than manoevering through politics (local or party).

i wouldn't write off all parish councils, some do an excellent job for their community.
mind you they don't have ms skinner working for them.
