see the surrey section of m25 is to trail no shoulder, but stopping points if needed ------- the road minister was on tv last night saying why has no-one thought of this before
in kent we have them ---- they are called lay - bys and filled with lorries when their tachographs run out
so what a picture that could be on the m25 !!!!!!! filled with lorries leaving behind their yellow lemonade bottles !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

what is the difference between a stopping point and a lay-by?

On the M42 this has been the norm for about 3yrs or possibly more the stopping points are monitored by police cctv and they will react very quickly it works. Reference your comment about lay byes and yellow bottles GIVE TRUCKERS A PLACE TO STOP WITH TOILETS THE REST OF EUROPE CAN MANAGE IT.
