Now this is a chilling fact!!
3 accidents on the short stretch between Dover and Capel Le Ferne where ambulance struggled to reach their casualties.. because Lorries blocking both lanes going towards the port. Its time which could potentially loose the battle of beeing alive. Or if someone does need lifethreaning treatment ... impossible!!! A scary fact which should be a wake up call to the Highway Agency!! They should ban overtaking from at least Ashford apporach towards Dover!! Dover police should fine People on the spot for blocking lanea or not making access for Emergency vehicles!
I am upset with the fact that it takes Emergency Staff longer to get to injured people because they could not get to them!!
Call me a snub (which I am not) but this issue need to be looked at ASAP I am so so unhappy about this!!

The problem seems to be the lorry is king and can behave just as they like. I agree Heike they should be made to stick to one lane on the approach to Dover, the police should be around when there are problems instead of disappearing out of the area which is what happens at the moment.

From what I understand Kent police and the port police pass the buck between them.

well which is wrong!! They should all work together as this isnt a normal situation! Anyway Highway Agency can make this problem a little smaller and not allow Lorries to use the outer (right) lane at all. They are all doing similar speed (supposedly)
so this should not be an issue. If they do still overtake and stay in lane, then PLEASE fine them!!! Other countries do!

Some of the foriegn truckers are very good professional drivers whilst some are very rude and arrogant and will gladly block the roundabouts and just raise their arms and shrug their shoulders, tough sh** attitude. Some of their driving standards are absolute dangerous and i often wonder as to how some have even managed to obtain an hgv licence.

and these ones needs to be fined on the spot! Also it would make the rounds too in the trucker world of Drivers and would automatically improve too.
Ask any Lorrydriver driving within the EU they moan about their countries as they have really strict guidelines. I totally miss this in the UK...
