    MCD,currently Gorley House is being refurbished .Solar panels are being fitted to help with heating bills .Small flats are being knocked into providing larger accomodation .
    Hopefully in the near future the properties in Cowgate Hill can be refurbished to provide more homes for the elderly .

    Roger may correct me but MCD manage ninety units of homes for the elderly .These are well sought after and we have a waiting list .These units have a Sheltered Housing manager someone on call to give advice and help when needed
    Some of the flats in Albany House have had wet rooms provided when the resident cannot manage the problems of getting into a bath or a shower .
