I am just back from Dorset having stayed in West Bay.
One day we went to the Bovington Tank Museum, a place I know quite well going back over 40 years.
I am very pleased to report that they won a big lottery grant and have really transformed the place.
Outside is a real arena with for their mobility displays where before they just had a (very) muddy field and inside what were no more than massive old hangers with tanks stood around in them is a brilliant professional exhibition including a WW1 trench experience. It takes you through the development of the tank and all of the massive and varied vehicles were well presented.
This really was worthwhile use of lottery cash - nice to say that for a change. I really recommend a visit, Janet and I spent over 4 hours there and it just whizzed by and, yes, she did find it interesting even though a 'girly'!!!!!
A couple of tank pics....

A Challenger 1 - British MBT from the 1990's
