  What piqued my interest, and led to my pasting the Wiki pieces above, was the re-emphasis of co-operation over the much touted notion of "survival of the fittest".
  
  As far as politics and the media are concerned in all things 'nature', it is that 'nature abhors a vacuum', and with little else to talk about, babbling on about beavers and hedgehogs is what takes up the space.
