  Alexander, I think it was your Grandmother's way of getting your attention with the nugget. If she has passed away they do that sometimes but it tales a lot of energy so she really must have wanted to say 'Hello' or perhaps reassure you that everything was going to be ok. If she is alive then it's a sort of telepathy. You were obviously influenced by her to give it to your Mother.
  
  The police dream I feel would relate to a feeling of being restricted in some area of your life, possibly work. An unsympathetic boss or too many rules and regulations and the feeling of being stifled of your creativity. In the past you had hoped or expected to go further of progress with something.
