The works in the London Road seem to be drawing to a close but what is left is a patchwork of tarmac where holes have been filled. Could the utility company not be made to resurface the whole lot?
It looks a real mess and adds to the image of Dover being a place where you can cause maximum disruption for the bare minimum of consequences.

Mark I understand where you are coming from. The seafront had various potholes fixed in the past but as always it was very much a temporary fix and resulted in a patchwork quilt effect. Now though...we have had the full resurface ( up as far as the yachtclub) but at quite a cost. Nigel C tells me that it cost £40,000 of yours and my pounds...so difficult to foresee a situation where the utility companies would fork out that level of resource just to keep Britain looking good.

had a look this morning, definitely gives the impression of a botch job, i suspect the holes filled in will need redoing fairly soon.
who pays for it then, i suspect kent county council?

Whoever does it we pay one way or the other.

that's unusually cynical of you. I am sure that Centrica would have taken it from their profits rather than pass it on to the consumer!

Not only a patchwork but very uneven, like driving over a ploughed field.
