  The Volunteer Centre in Kent had a display on today in the Market Square. Very colourful too, with the red ex-London Transport Routemater bus. Brought back memories for me, of our old East Kent red and cream doubledecker`s in the same spot, but heading down towards Bench street, and turning right for Snargate street and the Marine Station, Aycliffe or The Ropewalk.

  I spotted a pedestrian hurrying to catch it. A good effort from these young people, with many leaflet`s on display at their table.

  A good memory brought back there, Colin. And they passed buses doing the same journey the other way, hard to imagine now.

  Spotted that at Lydden this morning and wondered where it was going. For those interested it's an RML, the longer wheelbase version with an extra row of seats. Note the additional small windows in the middle on both decks.
