London Blitz

The Mail online has published some colour photos of London during the blitz. The colour shots seem to bring the era more alive where as ,for some reason, black and white photos appear to be more detached.
It is a timely reminder that as the country 'reels' from the hacking scandal that Londoners had a lot more to worry about in those dark days than reading which celeb was sleeping with whom.Marek

I can just remember sitting in an Anderson shelter, and a Morrison table shelter, seeing barrage balloon, planes, searchlights, and several houses with their sides missing but my family were lucky in Lincolnshire.---------------------------------------------------
