    It saddens me that the masonic notion of 'good character' (of which a mason must apparently be) seems not to involve the ability to recognise bad logic.

    This is a clear example of the fallacy of false choice, a delimiting of options, with a moral insinuation thrown in for good measure.

    This is reason enough for me not to go anywhere near a lodge anytime soon (and, * knows, there are plenty of other reasons).

    * Insert the name of your Supreme Being of choice here.
