It's a poor film, poor script, with very guessable plot developments, but crisp black & white exteriors and not all the acting was bad. (I was hoping to see Arthur Lowe with some hair, but I guess he was born without any.) Dover itself (castle, seafront) is used only in the early establishing shots, though there's a brief scene in Dover Priory. Hilarious to see the swimmers dive in at St Margaret's and emerge at (what looks like) Shakespeare beach only to be picnicking moments later at St Margaret's again. Still, the setting's 'Dover' rather than Dover. (Also, the railway sidings next to the speedboat's mooring in Folkestone harbour are actually in Southall.)
