Just had a message from the Environment Agency that groundwater levels in the Dover Alkham Bourne catchment are very high and rising, the Alkham and Watersend bournes will soon start flowing, and there are likely to be problems for households in the area using septic tanks for sewage.
Didn't stop local volunteers helping the South East Rivers Trust to install a fish pass in Kearsney today.
