    I do not drive so have no axe to grind but this seems rather stupid considering how our local shops are already struggling to stop customers going out of town. The extra £195,000 is peanuts with regard to the DDC budget and most probably be swallowed up policing this pointless increase.

    "Cllr Collor said that despite the increase, the charges were still the cheapest in comparison to other councils such as Canterbury." This is a silly remark comparing Dover to Canterbury, they are completely different.
