It's great to see it on the up in Dover....
There's plenty of talent about in the area and it would be a great pity if the publicans were to cease supporting new bands etc.
In my past experience the Landlords were always on a tight margin, maybe the way to go is to do a few Charity spots to encourage footfall and follow it up with a paid gig?
Perhaps get everyone who comes in to contribute to the charity by a fiver or such and then take it from there, so the charity gains, the artiste gets paid and the publican profits.
