Presumably, the sooner proposed bed-spaces become car parking spaces the quicker the patient will recover.

don't you believe it lesley i have seen the plans, the amount of services the hospital will offer will rival guy's in london.

The report does not surprise me. My Grandaughter suffers from frequent bouts of tonsilitis which make her very poorly. My daughter rang her GP to say her 4 yr old had a temperature of 100.4 and needed to be seen asap and was offered an appointment two, yes two days later. As a result we went to K&C and told a horrified Dr why we had decided to go to A&E. he perscribed antibiotics and wrote a stern letter to the GP who promptly demanded to know why my daughter was using A&E as a GP surgery stating it made the practice "look bad"!
Could explain why simple health issues are becoming chronic.

that should all change now lesley with your local g.p having a bigger budget together with a bigger say on how it is spent.

I have mentioned `such` a Doctor several times not only on here but also to the authorities.
The PCT have been powerless to control the situation......Doctors are self employed.......with the Health Reforms
the situation will deleteriorate.
We desperately need step down beds at our new ``Hospital``and Charlie and I have been bombarding
all the relevant authorities / agencies.
eg recent letter sent to the Chairman of Southeast coast CCG.............awaiting yet another ``pass the parcel``reply...
Dear Dr Cocker,
We have been trying to obtain step down beds on the new site of the
New Hospital for Dover.It is the responsibility of all the involved Agencies but the buck stops with
Social Services.
We request that you as Chairman of the Southeast Coast CCG should take a leading role in the
decision process to confirm that step down beds are an integral part of the New Dover Hospital
