Ross, Roger or Roger & Ross and the guy who filmed the street attack and took the injured fellow in.
Ignorance is bliss, bliss is happiness, I am happy...to draw your attention to the possible connectivity in the foregoing.

I think Ross (LRCF and his future work with Big-Local) would be a worthy nomination, as would Mike McFarnell (Dover Film Festival and Dover Tattoo), Terry (Nunn) for all his work in the past - I know you're now retired Terry, but your previous work should be recognised.
There are tens if not hundreds of unsung volunteer heroes and because I don't know them, I couldn't nominate any of them.
I won't get nominated Tom (but thank you anyway), I'm "Persona Non-Grata" and apart from that, I haven't done enough to warrant such an award.

we seem to have overlooked david with his drive to clean up the town by dealing with the ne'er do wells.

we spent a lot of time looking at these awards and all the groups we wanted to reach, even the name took some working out and we need your support these will be real awards to real people who deserve a bit of praise,so don't be afraid to nominate a person or two,but you need to be quick as nominations close the first week of March.

If you knew what I know,we would both be in trouble!

I would prefer it if we could nominate groups as well as a single person, all to often the head honcho of a group gets the recognition rather than the whole group.
Town Team together with Bluebird Market, WHPS and WCCP immediately spring to mind.

We all have our own people we could nominate,
Mac M'carthy who has been a football referee for nearly 40 years and ran schools football, and local kids football and athletics for such a long period, and organised refs, and devoted his life to kids football is in the frame,
but realy there are so many worthwhile volunteers out there, i wouldn't want to be the judge.
Whilst on the council I once was asked to judge who should get an award from 6 or 7 people
all were worthwhile, some had serious illness's and trying to cope with everyday life.
others were kids who were as good as carers for there seriously ill parent which took away there childhood.
realy did pull at the heart strings, showed you that we all moan and groan, but once i saw how these all got on with life without complaint, it made me think differently

Top man Keith, I know when I was involved in Scouting it took just one phone call to Mac to get him to run the Cubs.Scouts Football weekend, Sports Day, Cross Country Run and the Athletes Badge Day. He would not just turn up he would organise enough refs to run the events so that every thing was fair.
He must be in his 70's now and he is still out there running football match's for the kids.

The voting is now up though there is a mistake and WHPS are a nomination, but the selection is WCCP !! I have asked them to correct the mistake, though I am sure if you vote the WCCP selection it will actually be for WHPS !!!!

I find it hard to believe that Dover Sea Safari did not get nominated in the business section, given their rapid expansion and the benefits that they bring Tourism in Dover, yet a "Fancy Dress Shop" did?

Did anyone nominate Dover Sea Safari in the first place as for Louise's business she has worked really hard (often very late at night) getting the business to where it is now. Having said that I will be voting for the Town Team but am torn between WCCP and Sylvie as both deserve to win.

"Did anyone nominate Dover Sea Safari in the first place"
They did Jan
Many small businesses work extremely hard, not just to set up Jan but also to keep going. Like most of these things I suspect that it's more a case of "who you know"...
