"..
more privileged that people who work."
Is there anything more misemployed than language?
Is 'work' a privilege? It is my understanding, gleaned throughout our years of intercourse, that you do hold that work is a privilege;except when it suits you to say otherwise.
Many of those within the amorphous group you term, "
people who fund those benefits" [not counting those who have themselves funded, but are now in receipt] who have taken their 'hit', have done so in order to stay in employment. (Although quite why they do this must remain a mystery, if what you say holds water and they could find themselves
more privileged on the scrap-heap.)
Times
are tough, but why should this lead us to being 'simplistic'. Why aver that the weeds in the field are easily identifiable for they grow taller than the seed crop and then take the scythe and cut near the ground?
