Reminds me of the tale of the Trojan Horse? Watched it on YouTube last night expecting at any moment a number of swarthy young men to burst out of the puppet and disappear into the crowd like they do from lorries on the A2.

I know this will make me into a grumpy old woman but although it is very cleverly done I fail to understand why there was such a fuss about this giant puppet.
Did anyone on here actually go and watch it being 'walked' in the town, at least I can not say nothing ever happens in Dover.

I expect all of the well paid directors of the Samphire group would have been in attendance. Them and the school groups that were coerced into contributing.

I didn't go to it, but then I forgot about it. I know there are strong opinions on here about the migrant problem, but this project is a national thing, with the puppet (representing a young child migrant I believe) coming to this country.
The migrant problem is massive and needs sorting to prevent poorly educated attitudes boiling over, but a little child arriving fleeing genuine fear will always have my support.
And before anyone says "but they've come from a safe country, France" clearly knows nothing about trafficking or the migrant issue at all.
I thought it was good from what I saw on YouTube and would have gone if I had remembered.
