  Had to go to Canterbury and back this morning and to avoid boredom a different route was used coming and going and the roadside litter has to be seen to be believed. Regular car users are probably immune to it now but we look like a third world country judging by the state of the roadside verges. We live in the garden of England and lambs were visible if you looked past the rubbish but what overseas visitors think when they arrive and see our countryside on their way to a tourist hot spot has to be wondered at. None of this includes the roads mentioned in the original post other hen Whitfield Hill.
