read on teletext that the dover lifeboat was called out last evening when people in the docks saw 2 climbers head lamps halfway up/down the cliff. it transpired that the two climbers were taking a lot longer than they planned for and completed the ascent in about 14 hours.
the coastguard have made it clear that they should have been notified in advance of the climb.
