Sky charge by the rateable value of the pub so at least the Golden Lion will presumably be paying a lot less than the Eight Bells.

On the ferries, the crew have a choice of two types of contract based on hotels. One allows you to view Sky programmes in a communal area but not in the cabins, the other allows you to distribute the programmes to the cabins but not to a communal area.

Bit of a nonsense really as it the same people watching it whether they are in their cabins or in the communal areas. Different in a hotel where there will be lots of non residents passing through the bars and restaurants.
