The post you are reporting:
Ray, we are talking of public heritage, I live at the feet of Western Heights, I have a right to have my views even if these differ to yours.
Paul, you wrote: "Green spaces - the Heights should be tree-less and the land all around it grazed."
Grazing does take place on the Heights, to the benefit of the vegetation. But there are many trees to. Are you planning to have all these trees cut down? Is this part of any standard strategy of English Heritage or the White Cliffs Countryside Project?
Many trees on Western Heights do not encroach on historical sites there.
What effect would this have on wild life, such as birds? Would it cause soil erosion? Have you any permission to do this?
In your post above, you say no-one is in it to make a financial gain, apart from the developers.
Previously, you wrote that shops-owners and restaurant owners would stand to make a financial gain. You now agree that developers would also make financial gains.
Is this all within the competence of WHPS?
