Hi Mr Watkins if you are there - can you spare the Western Heights Preservation Society 20 full time members of staff just to cut trees down and cut the grass on the Western Heights on land that you don't own for no financial return?? Also all of the equipment that they need and also some people to repoint walls and also the equipment that is needed??
. Oh go on, it will only be a few hundred thousand pounds a year.
Just so you know Alexander, that when English Heritage did repointing just around the outside of the Drop Redoubt (only only one side of the moat) coming on for 20 years ago they spend £250,000 at least. Do the sums....
