Nigel, can you explain why there has been an apparent shift by KCC from the previous situation?
This was a focus on supplying broadband to rural areas that were unlikely to get private suppliers to cover them due to the higher startup costs and lower returns, but the current campaign seems to have switched to improving the speed in the towns where there are already private suppliers.
Us rural folk who have poor broadband because of our distance from the exchange and getting our broadband on copper telephone wires fear we are going to loose out yet again in favour of the towns where there is already a decent service available.
