Another shop has moved to St James - Holland & Barrett. While the new development grows ever fuller, the High Street shrivels further.

Perhaps we ought to start regarding in-town shopping developments like St James’ as part of the ‘High Street’. Actually Dover’s High Street is really Biggin Street and Cannon St so what’s the problem?

Maybe if the new housing developments attract very affluent people, Biggin and Cannon Street could become like Carnaby / Oxford Street?

Yes Pablo that was the idea St James flowing into Market Square.There is the Road now into Castle Street.Just wish they had planted more flowers etc.

The effect that would have on the Town centre.
But I recently visited Maidenhead who's Town centre
Had boarded up empty shops
