The post you are reporting:
Howard, the pope is actually head of state of the Vatican City, which is, aproximately, less then a square mile in dimension, and includes Saint Paul's Cathedral in Rome.
He claims to be the holy father, and if his visit is officially a pastoral visit, then he will be coming as one who claims to be the holy father, but he will still be coming as a head of state even then.
His other official titles are many: pontefix maximus, the successor to Saint Peter, Vicar of Christ on Earth, unailable, and possibly one or two others.
I personally believe in Britannia our Empress, the Fair Lady, Who has the Light-tower Church overlooking Dover, the Sea and the Garden (of England).
She believes in God the Holy Father and in Jesus Christ, so by believeing in Her I can't go wrong as far as Religion is concerned.
Hence, I won't be trotting off to see the pope!
