Today i spoke to newly elected cllr for priory, maxton, and elms vale diane smallwood, she was over the moon at getting elected, and already busy taking up casework, she tells me she will be at events when she can at the clarendon and westbury and also be doing regular street surgeries(knocking on doors)
so it looks like things will look more lively in the future and it will interestiung to see how she fares, as she's bubbling with ethusiasm at the moment

the tram shelter is owned by the district council as far as i know, so the views of both of our new councillors would be important.
time is of the essence on this one.

I live on the attic floor, Keith, and have an ugly impression the door-bell doesn't work either.
A visit would be welcome nonthe less.

Paul I was up Mount Road about 10 days ago and Maxton Road,Churchill and Shakespear,love the view from Kelvin O'Hare's House,but have always loved the view from up there.I can see my ward Tower Hamlets

If you knew what I know,we would both be in trouble!

Thanks, Keith. What I meant was that if the lady is knocking on the door, I won't hear it. You can't even see my floor from the road.
But it would still be nice to know the local Councillors and exchange a few words; but if anything crops up that should require attention, I'll email you. So again, thanks!

JHG;

Yes I agree we have a wonderful view from up here.
Alexander: it is possible to obtain doorbells that do not require wiring. Just attach the call button to the front door and the other part of the unit in your flat. This is written not to be sarcastic but in the spirit of helpfulness. If your landlord cannot provide a bell that works I am sure he could not object to this.

Indeed, Diana, there are such possibilities, but in my environment I'd be unlikely to hear the bell anyway.
Perched high up, I feel quite inaccessible.

My grandson can hear the wireless door bell, maybe I should qualify that to when his music is not blaring out, thank goodness I am in the basement.

Keith, I saw Diana yesterday, must say she was looking very well and certainly in the pink after her recent long illness
