    I was reminded this evening ( by my mother ) of an annual event that used to happen in Hull in the 50s and 60s.
    When brickies and other certain professions used to be laid off due to bad weather to able to claim their dole money they had to clear snow and ice from the town center.

    How times have changed, we'll never see that one again. the worlds gone mad.

    Two of us did a lot of snow clearing down our road too.
