  I hope you are enjoying the heatwave and ready for the “fireworks” forecast for later today.
  
  I attach an e-mail from Neighbourhood Watch.
  
  We had a visit on Tuesday and it was clear the gent had no military experience. When asked for identity said “not issued for security reasons”. i immediately reported the incident to NW who indicated Folkestone had recently had several such incidents and one other reported in Dover
  
  This has been circulated to all NW organisers but may be useful for Forum members/readers. I hate to see our brave ex-servicemen being used in this manner.

  Dear all,
  
  Following further incidents in the Dover area please find the warning notice from the Services charity SSAFA attached again.
  
  I have personally spoken to members of the SSAFA management who confirm that any of their members would carry certified ID badges, also if someone is selling door to door they must produce a Pedlar’s Certificate on request.
