  Just had this latest email in from Andy Cooper...things arent too good with Vic. My best wishes to you Vic for a recovery as soon as poss.

  "Just to keep you all in the picture, Vic rang me this morning. He has to go back into theatre today for further surgery: the knee has become badly infected and I understand that there was a noticeable smell of putrefaction, which is why the need for surgery became urgent. He's been told that he will be in hospital for approximately two more weeks.
  
  I am worried by this latest turn of events - it seems that there is a significant risk of Vic losing his leg, and my prayers are with him at what must be a dark time for him. I shall be going over to see him on Thursday afternoon; if anyone would like to come along to visit but doesn't have a car of their own, just give me a ring and they will be welcome to get a lift.
