About a year ago my GP told me that the surgery could provide 5 sessions of acupuncture to help with my chronic back pain. By the time the first session was due the pain had lessened due to exercises I had found on the Internet. Soon after NICE changed their minds and said that acupuncture was no longer recommended for lower back pain.

Back in early October I was having severe movement problems with my left arm and hand which meant I was having problems dressing etc as my right arm has been paralysed since childhood. My doctor asked if I would like some physiotherapy I am still waiting for the appointment and like Howard I found exercises on the internet result problem almost gone.

I wonder how many others also find cures for ourselves because the NHS is so slow.
